1/22/2011 - Nutrisystem Reviews!

So, I have no idea what my weight is. My life is upside down as I just moved to Charlotte, NC last monday. I had a carry-on and 2 suitcases full of stuff. About 1 and a half carried my Nutrisystem foods! Needless to say, I didn't have room for a scale. I am in temporary housing for the next 2 months, but going strong with my lovely diet. I will actually be going back to Texas to visit on February 11th...so I can weigh in then. My goal is to be under 200 pounds by then.

This meal gets a pretty bad wrap on the review sites. I really enjoyed it. It is sweet, but I expected it to be sweet & sour. I would definitely order it again.

Wedged potatoes and beef! Yummy!! One of my favorites. A very stewy flavor with large chunks of potato and beef. Just delicious!

Buffalo Chicken Wrap...not a huge fan. Has that canned chicken flavor to it. Willing to try again, but not a big fan of it at this point.

1/10/11-Week 25 Weigh-in!! + A few foods

Week 25 Weigh-in!!!
Weight: 210.5
Loss to date: 36.5 pounds!

Recent Foods!

Ham and Beans!!!
Lunch Entree: Ham and Beans...Served with Ballpark Turkey Dogs (2 at 40 Calories each, lunch protein). Added Ketchup, Mustard, and Green Onions. I usually mix it all up and bake it! This is in my top 5 lunches. I love it; so good and it really hits the spot in this cold weather!

Chicken Pasta Parmesan!

Stir-fried with Onions and Tomatoes! Another delicious comfort food. Tastes like authentic Italian Food when cooked on the stove top.
Lemon Butter Sauce with White Chicken & Noodles!!

This discontinued item is delicious!! I was so upset when I realized it was discontinued. It has a delicious lemony hue, and great big chunks of lemon and mushroom. I really love the flat noodles and the light flavorful sauce. Delicious!!!

1/8/2011 -- 3 Breakfasts!!

Anyone who has looked at my blog knows that I love breakfast! I am so excited when Cherries are in season!!! Here are 3 examples of a perfectly portioned Nutrisystem Breakfast and a review of each of those Nutrisystem Item.

A Nutrisystem Breakfast on the Women's Basic Plan consists of:
1. Nutrisystem Breakfast Entree
2. Fruit Serving
3. Protein Serving

Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bar
Nutrisystem's Chocolate Chip Granola bar is FANTASTIC!! It is both Chewy and Chocolaty. It has tons of delicious Chocolate Chips and is surprising filling. Not too sweet, it makes a perfect on the go breakfast and perfectly compliments my morning coffee. I love to take several of these with me when I travel. As the breakfasts and desserts are interchangeable; I sometimes eat these for dessert too!
1. Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Entree
2. Peach
3. Egg white omelet with green onions (either borrow a veggie from another meal or as a free food).
Berries & Multigrain Flakes
I have to make a disclaimer first; before I give you my review of Berries & Multigrain Flakes... I am not a big cereal fan. Seriously, I like granola on Yogurt and may try that with the cereals I have left. But when I think of breakfast, I either think of warm comfort food (pancakes, pancakes, pancakes) or something easy and on the go. Having cold cereal is not on the top of my breakfast list. With that being said, I do sometimes like cereal for dessert and definitely as an element in a healthy trail mix.

As far as Berries & Multigrain Flakes go, Nutrisystem did a great job on this cereal. It is lightly sweetened and stays crunch in the milk you get to eat with it. There are some berries, but not too few or too many. Though the bag may look or seem small, it is enough food to be satisfying.
Bag of cereal

1. Nutrisystem Berries & Multigrain Flakes Entree
2. Cherries
3. Egg white omelet w/green onions and salsa
Cluster Crunch Cereal
Again the cereal thing...but it was still pretty good and serving cereal with Eggs, gives it more of a "comfort" feel. This cereal is really tasty! It definitely has a crunch! It does seem like less food than Berries & Multigrain flakes but it is really tasty, sweet, and crunchy.
1. Nutrisystem Cluster Crunch Cereal
2. Peach
3. Egg Whites with Salsa, and Laughing Cow Cheese wedge (free)

2011!!! Here I come!

Okay.....so I tapered off a bit those last few days of 2010...I admit it. But the last few days of the year in retail are just miserable! I worked soooooooooo freaking hard. And with just a few days left in Texas, it is the perfect time to reflect on how far I came this year and make some new goals for next year.

I lost 85 pounds!
For 2011:
I will lose another 65 pounds.
I will train for and run in the Las Vegas marathon.
I will stick to my Nutrisystem way off life!

Oh....and to start the year off right, found some cherries at the market! I love cherries!
